Some updates along the way
Having graduated recently from Music school, I've started shooting/interning for a bridal company based in Kobe
Been really busy and there's not much time for me to upload any new content on the site. Lots of new photos, but none are permissible to be uploaded onto the website... yet
New experiences
- Pre-wedding shoots
- Dinner/Party Event shoots
- Working with models
- Posing! Posing!
- Getting to know more about lighting in real practical use
New Lens
EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM
Now this is a crazy ass lens. Not much for me to say, as you can google and read up on the reviews. Still learning how to use this lens, suspect it's going to take quite some time to get used to it. So far the problem for me is getting the focus spot on. Probably the weight too...
New CMS
- Playing around with Koken recently and found it to be really easy to upload photos onto the new platform. It is also really easy to setup compared to Wordpress. Am thinking of switching to Koken entirely
Wakayama 和歌山
6D with 85mm 1.2 only. Like the nifty fifty training which I had at Kyoto
Most of the earlier shots are taken with a ND8 filter and removed later when we reached Wakayama Castle 和歌山城
This is an interesting photo, as 不老橋 means "Eternal Youth Bridge". I like how the elderly actually looks like a high school student, carrying the backpack and all
6D's focusing points + 85mm 1.2
How I wish there's more focusing points on the 6D. Most of the time I'm struggling to frame the shot so that the focus points align to the person's face or eyes. And re-focusing on the 1.2 is definitely a no-go
